How to get to Stockholm:

🚝 Train

Travelling by train is generally considered the most convenient option and straightforward option within Scandinavia. For example, high-speed trains operated by SJ run directly from Copenhagen Airport and Malmö Central Station to Stockholm Central Station, with a journey time of approximately five hours. From Oslo, direct trains also connect to Stockholm, typically taking around five to six hours. You can also take the trains from Arlanda Airport to Stockholm Central with Arlanda express.

✈️ Plane

If you are traveling from futher away, then flying by plane is a more particul option. The closest airport is Arlanda Airport, with just a 20 minutes travel time to Stockholm Central by train. Another option is to fly to Copenhagen Airport in southern Sweden, where you can take the train to Stockholm in around five hours.

🚗 Car

If you would like to travel by car we have well-maintained highways connecting Scandinavia, with routes such as the E4 traveling from Copenhagen in Denmark, over the Øresund Bridge into Sweden, all the way to Stockholm. If you’re travelling from Oslo you typically follow the E18 and then connect to routes leading towards Stockholm.
